Shobi

Shoh´bi

The Ammonite prince, son of King Nahash, who supplied David during David’s stay at Mahanaim in the Transjordan while he was in conflict with his son Absalom (2Sam 17:27-29). Shobi may have served as successor to his brother Hanun following the latter’s insolent treatment of David’s servants and the subsequent military disaster.
