Ree´zif

A town cited as having fallen to Assyria (2Kgs 19:12; Isa 37:12) and symbolizing in part the unstoppable Assyrian force. Possibly it is modern Rezzafeh, about a hundred miles southeast of Aleppo, off the south bank of the Euphrates River.
