Pisgah

Piz´guh

A mountain in the area east of the Dead Sea. In the Bible “the top of Pisgah” is mentioned four times (Num 21:20; Num 23:14; Deut 3:27; Deut 34:1). The “slopes of Pisgah” are also mentioned in (Deut 3:17; Deut 4:49; Josh 12:3; Josh 13:20). Mt. Pisgah is often identified with modern Ras es-Siyaghah, which is located to the east of the Dead Sea and northwest of Mt. Nebo.
