Pi´ruhm; Heb., “wild ass”?

The king of Jarmuth and one of the Amorite allies who attempted to stop Joshua at Gibeon (Josh 10:3-11), only to be killed and hung (Josh 10:22-26). Jarmuth is probably modern Khirbet Yarmuk, about fifteen miles southwest of Jerusalem.
