Phicol

Fi´kol

The commander of Abimelech’s army. Phicol witnessed the agreements between Abimelech and Abraham and between Abimelech and Isaac (Gen 21:22; Gen 26:26). The meaning of the name is not certain; various Egyptian etymologies have been proposed.
