Oholah

Oholibah (oh-hoh´luh, oh-hohl´i-bah; Heb., “she of the tent” and “my tent is in her”), the names of the allegorical sisters spoken of by the prophet Ezekiel (Ezek 23); Oholah represents Samaria, and Oholibah represents Jerusalem. After a youth of prostitution with the Egyptians, Oholah turned her lust upon the Assyrians and was eventually taken advantage of and destroyed by them. Oholibah surpassed the harlotries of her sister, defiling herself with the Assyrian and Babylonian lords. Ezekiel says that she too will suffer punishment for her lewd ways, for God will not ignore the faithless idolatry of Samaria and Jerusalem.
