napkin

Cloth used for wiping perspiration from the face (Acts 19:12), “handkerchief”) or to wrap an object (Luke 19:20). (John 11:44 and John 20:7) mention the custom of wrapping the head of a corpse. The notation of its position in (John 20:7) may be offered as an indication that Jesus’s body had not been stolen from the tomb (John 20:2).
