Gair´uh-suh; modern Jerash

One of the three greatest cities of Roman Arabia, identified in some manuscripts of Luke’s Gospel as the site of Jesus healing a demoniac (Luke 8:26). It is thirty-three miles southeast of the Sea of Galilee in the mountains of Gilead.
