Epicureans

Ep´i-kyoo-ree´uhnz

Followers of the philosopher Epicurus (342–270 BCE); they held that sense perception was the only basis for knowledge. Epicureans discussed Paul’s religious beliefs with him in Athens (Acts 17:18).
