Seventh patriarch from creation in (Gen 5:18-24; he was the son of Jared and the father of Methuselah. He lived 365 years, he walked with God, and God took him. In the Hellenistic age (300 BCE–300 CE) a corpus of apocalyptic writings was attributed to him (1 Enoch, 2 Enoch).
