children of God

A term used by early Christians to mark their special relationship as “adopted” heirs of the promises made by God to Israel (Rom 8:16-17; Rom 8:21; Phil 2:15; John 1:12; 1John 3:1; 1John 3:2; 1John 3:10; 1John 5:2).
