Ki-fi´ruh

One of four cities not attacked by the Israelites under Joshua due to a prior treaty arrangement (Josh 9:17). It was also one of fourteen towns occupied by Benjaminites (Josh 18:26) and received a portion of 743 resettling Judeans in the postexilic recovery (Ezra 2:25; Neh 7:29). The site has been identified as Khirbet el-Kefireh, five miles southwest of Gibeon.
