Cenchreae

Sen´kruh-ee

A harbor seven miles east of Corinth on the Saronic Gulf, used for trade with Asia. Here, prior to sailing to Ephesus during his second journey, Paul shaved his head (Acts 18:18-20). Cenchreae was the home of Phoebe (Rom 16:1).
