Bunni

Buhn´i

1 A Levite, an ancestor of some postexilic inhabitants of Jerusalem (Neh 11:15). 2 A leader of the postexilic community who signed the covenant to keep the law (Neh 10:15). 3 A Levite who participated in the dedication ceremony of the returning exiles (Neh 9:4); perhaps he is the same person as 2, although here the word may not be a name at all, since there is some textual evidence to read both Bani and Bunni in this verse (Neh 9:4) as Heb. bene, “sons of.”
