Bithynia

Bi-thin´ee-uh

A Roman province in northwest Asia Minor containing Christian communities by the time 1 Peter was written. The NT records no mission there. According to (Acts 16:7), Paul and his companions “attempted to go into Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them.”
