Bi-thyoo´uhl; Heb., “house of God”

1 The son of Nahor, nephew of Abraham, father of Laban and Rebekah (Gen 22:22; Gen 22:23; Gen 24:15; Gen 24:24; Gen 24:47; Gen 24:50). In (Gen 25:20) he is identified as an Aramean of Paddan-aram. 2 In (1Chr 4:30), a town in Simeonite territory west of the Dead Sea (Bethel in Josh 19:4).
