Beth-hoglah

Beth-hog´luh; Heb., meaning uncertain, possibly “the place of the partridge”

A city on the border of Judah and Benjamin, but assigned to the tribe of Benjamin (Josh 15:6; Josh 18:21). It is tentatively identified with modern Ein Hajlah, about six miles northwest of the mouth of the Jordan River.
