Its exact location is unknown. 2 The place to which Jotham fled for refuge after implicitly attacking the kingship of Abimelech (Judg 9:21). This was probably modern el-Bireh, north of the Plain of Esdraelon and about ten miles south of the southern tip of the Sea of Galilee.
