1 According to (Acts 1:23-26), “Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also known as Justus,” who, along with Matthias, was put forward as a candidate to replace Judas Iscariot among the twelve apostles after the latter’s death; Matthias was chosen. 2 According to (Acts 15:22-34), “Judas called Barsabbas,” a prophet and a leader in the Jerusalem church, who was given the task, along with Silas, of announcing the decision of the Jerusalem conference to the churches in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia. They accompanied Paul and Barnabas to Antioch, later returning to Jerusalem.
