Atad

Ay´tad; from Akkadian etidu

Translated “thorns” (Ps 58:9) and “bramble” (Judg 9:14-15) and transliterated (Gen 50:10-11). In Genesis it refers to a threshing floor east of the Jordan where Jacob’s family mourned his death, causing a renaming of the place.
