Ascension of Christ, The

The risen Jesus’s departure into heaven after his final appearance to his disciples. It is described only in (Luke 24:50-51 and Acts 1:2-11), although there may be allusions to it elsewhere in the NT (John 6:62; John 20:17; Eph 4:8-10).
