Alexandria Troas

Troh´az, al´ig-zan´dree-uh

An important seaport city in Mysia on the northwest coast of Asia Minor. During the NT period, it was referred to simply as Troas. In Troas, during his second journey, Paul had a vision of a man from Macedonia inviting him to come to Europe (Acts 16:8-10). Paul and his companions revisited Troas on their final trip to Jerusalem, and Paul raised Eutychus, who had dozed and fallen from a third-story window while Paul was speaking (Acts 20:5-12).
