Shayna Sheinfeld is Assistant Professor of Religion at Augsburg University. Her research emphasizes the vast diversity of Judaism in antiquity, including ancient constructions of gender, apocalypses, and the afterlives of ancient texts in popular culture. Sheinfeld is the author of numerous books and articles including Jewish and Christian Women in the Ancient Mediterranean (2022; with Sara Parks and Meredith J. C. Warren), which won the 2023 Beare Award (CSBS) and 2024 Honourable Mention (BIAJS).
