Abraham Winitzer is a professor of ancient Near Eastern studies at the University of Notre Dame. He received his PhD in Assyriology from Harvard University and writes about Mesopotamian scholarly and mythological literature, with special interests on the connection of this literature to Mesopotamian religion, philosophy, and science and also its influence on the Hebrew Bible.
