Ji-hoh´zuh-bad; Heb., “Yah[weh] is a gift” or “Yah[weh] has given”

1 A retainer of King Joash of Judah who, with another retainer, Jozacar, assassinated the king (2Kgs 12:21; 2Chr 24:26); he was executed by Joash’s son Amaziah shortly after Amaziah took the throne (ca. 800? BCE; 2Kgs 14:5). 2 The son of Obed-edom; a Levite of the clan of Korah who shared responsibility for the south storehouse of the Temple during the reign of King David (1Chr 26:4; 1Chr 26:16). 3 A Benjaminite commander of 180,000 troops under King Jehoshaphat (2Chr 17:18).
