Hoh-di´uh; Heb., “Yah[weh] is my splendor”

1 A descendant of Judah (1Chr 4:19). 2 A Levite who helped explain to the people the law read by Ezra (Neh 8:7); this is probably the same Levite who took part in the covenant renewal ceremonies and signed the covenant to keep the law (Neh 9:5; Neh 10:10). 3 A second Levite who signed the renewed covenant (Neh 10:13). 4 A leader of the people who also signed the covenant (Neh 10:18).
