Hobab

Hoh´bab

One of three names for Moses’s father-in-law (Judg 4:11). With Jethro (Exod 3:1; Exod 18:1) and Reuel (Exod 2:18), the name belongs to a complex tradition about Moses’s family. (Num 10:29) defines Hobab as the son of Reuel, the founding father of the Kenites.
