Ay´juh-lon

1 The name of a valley and an associated city mostly ascribed to the territory of Dan (Josh 19:42). It is best remembered as the site where the sun stood still in the stories of Joshua’s battles (Josh 10:12), and where Jonathan defeated the Philistines after the battle at Michmash (1Sam 14:31). 2 The Zebulunite Elon’s burial site (Judg 12:12), possibly referring to a place much farther north, near Rimmon.
