Ay´kohr; Heb., “trouble”

Valley of, part of the north border of Judah (Josh 15:7) and the location of the execution of Achan (Josh 7:24-26) after his profiteering in a holy war. In (Hos 2:15) and (Isa 65:10) its reputation for that former “trouble” is reversed, and the prophets use it as a symbol of better times to come.
